The catalogue contains bibliographical data about over 5,000 items, i.e. original, hand-written manuscripts or literature about manuscripts. The items are either in Arabic or in Ajami (Hausa, Fulfulde, Wolof) and come mainly from Nigeria, Ghana, Senegal, and Mali.
