The website "Laenderkontakte.de" (country contacts) was created in 2004 on the basis of the publication "Handbuch für deutsch-internationale Beziehungen" (Handbook of German-International Relations), 1997. It is continuously updated and up to now has more than 40,000 entries (July 2011).
